Dr Thomas L Nolan (formerly from Coolnamara)

The death has occurred of Dr Thomas L Nolan, Calverstown, Co Kildare / Coolnamara, Borris, Co Carlow.

Tom, formerly of Coolnamara, Borris, Co Carlow, and Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, died peacefully at home. Predeceased by his loving wife Sarah Bernadette (Bernie) and his brothers Michael, Oliver and Robert (Robbie). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children Ray (Barna), Tom (Calverstown) and Sinead (Galway), daughters-in-law Caroline and Aisling, grandchildren Sarah, Ross, Jake, Hannah, TJ and Grace, his sisters Anna, Birdie and Nancy, his brother John, and his relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at his home (R56 AV80) on Tuesday, 19th November 2024, from to 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, Co Carlow, on Wednesday, 20th November 2024, from 5:00 pm with removal to the Sacred Heart Parish Church, Borris, arriving at 7:00 pm that evening. Requiem Mass on Thursday, 21st November 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment immediately afterwards in St Mullins Cemetery, Co Carlow.

James (Jimmy) Phelan, (Formerly from Ballymartin)

The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Phelan, Borris, Co Carlow.

James (Jimmy) Phelan of Santa Barbara, California, USA, and formerly of Ballymartin, Borris, Co Carlow, died on Saturday, 2nd November 2024, in the wonderful care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

Jimmy, much-loved husband of Áine (née Doran) and loving father of Carly, James and Ruth. Pre-deceased by his brother Johnny.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Imelda, Mary and brother Ned, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Jimmy’s Funeral Mass will be in San Roque Catholic Church, Santa Barbara, California, on Wednesday, 13th November 2024, at 10:30 am (Pacific Standard Time) (6:30 pm Irish Time) followed by his interment at Calvary Cemetery.

Lynda Whitty, Bagenalstown (Formerly from Milltown)

The death has occurred of Lynda Whitty, Kilkenny Road, Royal Oak, Bagenalstown, Co Carlow.

Formerly from Milltown, Borris, Co Carlow, Lynda died today, 18th October 2024, at Waterford University Hospital. Ex Kelly’s Farm Machinery.

Pre-deceased by her parents Jim and Lily, partner Patrick (Pat) Brennan and sister Catherine. Sadly missed by her loving son Sean, brothers Andrew, Padraig, J J and Gerard, sisters Helen and Aileen, nephews, nieces, in-laws, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, on Saturday evening, 19th October 2024, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Lynda’s Funeral will arrive at the Sacred Heart Church, Borris, for Requiem Mass, at 2:00 pm on Sunday, 20th October 2024, followed by interment afterwards in Wells Cemetery, The Royal Oak.

Bridie Fluskey

The death has occurred of Bridie Fluskey, Bauck, St Mullins, Co Carlow.

Bridie died peacefully, in her 103rd year, in the loving care of Borris Lodge Nursing Home on Friday, 4th October 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her sisters Hannah, Sister Clare, May, Sadie and her brothers Danny, Robert, Jim and Richard. Deeply regretted by her sister Maggie (Boland), her nieces and nephews, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing in Walsh’s Funeral Home, Tinnahinch, Graiguenamanagh, (R95 D853), from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Saturday, 5th October 2024. Removal on Sunday morning, 6th October 2024, arriving at St. Moling’s Church, Glynn, (R95 HY49), for Requiem Mass at 10:00 am, followed by interment immediately afterwards  in St Mullins Cemetery.
