Martin Quinn, (Formerly Ballynattin)
November 30, 2024

The death has occurred of Martin Quinn, Watree, Gowran, Co Kilkenny, R95 WF30 / Ballynattin, Borris, Co Carlow.

Martin (formally of Ballynattin, Borris) died peacefully on 30th November 2024 at his residence in Gowran, surrounded by his loving family after a short illness bravely borne.

Predeceased by his parents, Anne (Nan) and Paddy Quinn, and his sisters Anne and Philomena.

Martin will be deeply missed by his sisters Bridget (Doyle), Gowran, Mary (Kelly), Lacken, Kathleen (Diamond), Wicklow, Margaret (Muldoon), Portarlington, and brother Patrick Quinn, Scotland, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives and many friends.

Rest in Peace

Martin will be reposing at his Residence in Gowran, (R95 WF30), on Sunday, 1st December 2024, from 2:00 pm with Prayers at 7:00 pm. Removal to The Sacred Heart Church, Borris, on Monday, 2nd December 2024, for Requiem Mass at 11:00 am with interment immediately afterwards in The Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Peggy Coffey (née Ryan)
November 27, 2024

The death has occurred of Peggy Coffey (née Ryan), Lisnacunna, Enniskeane, Co Cork / Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow.

Peggy of Lisnacunna, Enniskeane, Co Cork, (and formerly of Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow) passed away peacefully on 27th November 2024, surrounded by her loving family and in the care of Bantry General Hospital after a short illness. Pre-deceased by her brothers Mick, Tom and Jack, sisters Brigid, Mary and Josie, sister-in-law Margaret and brothers-in-law Tom and Joe. Sadly missed by her husband Jimmy, daughter Helen (Lehane), sons Pat and Tim, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Breda and Susan, grandchildren Kate, Shauna, Sean, Nyah, Ben, Aisling, Pádraig and Mattie, brother Pat, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing in O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Clonakilty, on Friday, 29th November 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with Prayers at 7:45 pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday, 30th November 2024 at 12:00 noon in The Church of the Assumption, Ahiohill. This will be livestreamed HERE. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

Dr Thomas L Nolan (formerly from Coolnamara)

The death has occurred of Dr Thomas L Nolan, Calverstown, Co Kildare / Coolnamara, Borris, Co Carlow.

Tom, formerly of Coolnamara, Borris, Co Carlow, and Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, died peacefully at home. Predeceased by his loving wife Sarah Bernadette (Bernie) and his brothers Michael, Oliver and Robert (Robbie). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his children Ray (Barna), Tom (Calverstown) and Sinead (Galway), daughters-in-law Caroline and Aisling, grandchildren Sarah, Ross, Jake, Hannah, TJ and Grace, his sisters Anna, Birdie and Nancy, his brother John, and his relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at his home (R56 AV80) on Tuesday, 19th November 2024, from to 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, Co Carlow, on Wednesday, 20th November 2024, from 5:00 pm with removal to the Sacred Heart Parish Church, Borris, arriving at 7:00 pm that evening. Requiem Mass on Thursday, 21st November 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment immediately afterwards in St Mullins Cemetery, Co Carlow.

James (Jimmy) Phelan, (Formerly from Ballymartin)
November 2, 2024

The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Phelan, Borris, Co Carlow.

James (Jimmy) Phelan of Santa Barbara, California, USA, and formerly of Ballymartin, Borris, Co Carlow, died on Saturday, 2nd November 2024, in the wonderful care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.

Jimmy, much-loved husband of Áine (née Doran) and loving father of Carly, James and Ruth. Pre-deceased by his brother Johnny.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Imelda, Mary and brother Ned, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Jimmy’s Funeral Mass will be in San Roque Catholic Church, Santa Barbara, California, on Wednesday, 13th November 2024, at 10:30 am (Pacific Standard Time) (6:30 pm Irish Time) followed by his interment at Calvary Cemetery.
