The death has occurred of John Joe Hickey, Rocksavage, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow – and recently of Main Street, Borris, Co Carlow .

John Joe died peacefully on 30th September 2023 in the company of his family and in the loving care of the staff at University Hospital, Waterford. Previously in St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. He is pre-deceased by his beloved parents Patrick and Margaret, sisters Lizzy and Nan, and brothers Aidan and Pat.

John Joe will be sadly missed  and fondly remembered by his son Patrick, brother Jim, partner Syreia, extended family, Lil, daughter-in-law Peggie and his nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends .

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris,  from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, 1st October 2023. Funeral will arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy, for Requiem Mass at 11:00 am on Monday, 2nd October 2023, followed immediately afterwards by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
