The death has occurred of Mary Rookard (née Fitzgerald), Inchapooka, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow, R95 FV00.

Mary passed away peacefully today 30th December 2024 surrounded by her loving family and in the excellent care of the staff at Borris Lodge Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Ted, and her sister Betty. Deeply regretted by her son Alan, her daughter Mary, grandchildren Sinéad, Hannah and Lucy, daughter-in-law Mary, son-in-law Grant, sisters Breda, Evelyn and Peggy, brothers Jim and John, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Reposing at her home in Inchapooka, Ballymurphy, (R95 FV00), on Monday 30thDecember 2024 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Tuesday 31st December 2024 from 2:00 pm, concluding with Funeral Prayers at 7:00 pm.

Arriving at The Sacred Heart Church, Borris, on Wednesday, 1st January 2025, for Requiem Mass at 11:00 am. The Mass may be viewed online via the Borris Parish Webcam at THIS LINK.

Interment afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Tinnahinch, Graiguenamanagh.

The funeral cortège will travel to the Cemetery via High Street, Graiguenamanagh, on the way to St Michael’s Cemetery.
