The death has occurred of Sheila Fitzsimons (née Byrne), Kilcoole, Co Wicklow / Currane, Borris, Co Carlow.

Sheila Fitzsimons (née Byrne), Sea Road, Kilcoole, and formerly of Currane, Borris, Co Carlow, died peacefully in her 93rd year on Saturday, 16th December 2023, in the care of her family and the staff of Greystones Nursing Home. Predeceased by her sisters Liz (twin), Kitty, Bridie and Eileen. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Irene and Susan, son Kevin, grand-children Shirley, Philip, Ella and Katie, great-grandson Blake, Susan’s partner John, daughter-in-law Claire, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Rest in Peace

Sheila will repose at the William Doyle Funeral Home, Kilcoole, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, 18th December 2023. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, 19th December 2023, at 12:00 noon in The Sacred Heart Church, Borris, Co Carlow, followed by interment in The Sacred Heart Cemetery, Borris.
